The Hosteria offers 8 spacious rooms with private bathrooms decorated in a warm and simple style to maintain the desert atmosphere of the Puna. All rooms have windows facing the village, known for its tall green poplars that grow in the Andes. All rooms have comfortable mattresses and luxurious bedding, including thick comforters for cold desert nights.

POWER SUPPLY

Our lodging has 24-hour electricity, supplied by the local motor. We appreciate your conscious use of energy, contributing to the general well-being and enjoyment of all our guests.

INTERNET CONNECTION

We have free WI FI Internet connection available in the main room. Since the connection is via satellite, sometimes the connection speed may be slow, due to the position of the satellite, or a momentary malfunction of the antenna. Please be patient.

HOT WATER

The Hosteria has a limited supply of 600 liters of hot water per day, so we ask for a moderate use, especially in high occupancy. If the hotel is full, please ask at the front desk to arrange a time. In winter, we recommend showering in the afternoon or evening, when the electric heaters increase the water supply.

HEATING

Each room of the hotel has a salamander for heating, managed exclusively by the staff, so please do not manipulate it. In winter, the rooms can reach 9/10 degrees Celsius, but we provide warm bedding. In the main room, a central fireplace and a Tromen salamander provide additional heating.

TELEPHONE SERVICE

In this city, there is no connection / antenna for cell phones. The nearest place with signal is Antofagasta de la Sierra (60 km), only for users of Claro communications company. El Peñón town hall has a satellite phone for public use (not free of charge) and is available from 8:00 to 13:00 and 18:00 to 22:00. The cost of services is determined by the minutes consumed.

RESTAURANT SERVICE

Buffet breakfast is served in the main dining room, including homemade bread or pastries made in the lodge. Prepared with regional products, there is a dinner menu every day and a good selection of wines. By reservation, the restaurant is ready to receive groups for a special lunch and is also a warm and friendly place to stop along the way and enjoy a special herbal tea with local delicacies or a cold beer with a cheese board.
